XNView is a utility for viewing and converting graphics files (Freeware for non-commercial use) that supports more than 300 graphic formats in reading and 40 in writing including tiff.

These really are big. Expect 10 to 12 minute download times with an optimized 56k connection; 5 minutes on an 128K ISDN; and 30 seconds on a T1.
